- The Doctoral Program in Sports Medicine of the University of Tsukuba is composed of nationally recognized groups of experts in orthopedic sports medicine, basic exercise science, applied health science, and athletic performance science who teach prescription or treatment options for non-communicable diseases and/or musculoskeletal injuries related to competitive sports, trauma, or overuse injuries.

- The Doctoral Program in Sports Medicine consists of the following three study fields: medical conditioning, athletic training, and sports translational research. Doctoral students select one field of study.
